Nassau Bahamas- "Live in the moment" Part 4

Our trip to Nassau was moving right along.  Tom's been out birding several times, the pool and water slides have gotten daily use, and we're all having a good time.  I wanted to go do a photo walk through town, so my brother and his oldest son, Mason joined me for an early trek.

We wandered all around finding subjects that represented Nassau-
 The colors!

Mason has expressed an interest in photography, so he was allowed to take the family DSLR out with us.  It was very fun to give him a tip or a pointer and then watch what he did with that information.

The people.

A bricklayer, and a wood carver making walking sticks,

A woman preparing conch and giving us a glimpse,

A street painter,

A little boy with big eyes,

A musician in a quiet corner

The woman who had to have her photo taken!

The houses with the wonderful colors,

the many churches,

We did find a wine shop that was giving samples at 9:30 in the morning, which somehow led us to the  John Waitlings Rum distillery by 10:30..... the photography shoot was all over by that time!

a cask of rum

A few more shots of a sculpture in the art museum grounds, and Mason chasing the roosters around for just the right view point!

A few detail shots...

And the photo day ends.

A bit of old and new in central Nassau
