Road trip day 1- Arizona to Alpine Texas

 We were able to get up, pack the car,defrost the truck windows-32 degrees this morning, and get to the mechanics by 730.  We were on southbound I-10 headed for El Paso Texas by 8am.

We figured that we would stop at El Paso, but with a small car that was able to do the 80mph speed limit, we arrived at 11:45!

El Paso is huge, and sprawling and very busy.  We kept going, and got off the interstate to Hwy 90 towards Marfa and Alpine.

We stopped in Alpine, a town of about 6000 +/-.  It has potential for more exploring, so we're going to come back this way.

Most the roads today were like this!

Maybe I will find something a bit more interesting tomorrow!
