Butterflies in Thames

We choose to stay in Thames for two nights as we had in Omokoroa ,due to the holiday weekend. Our site in Thames was about 6 blocks from the waterfront, a short walk to a wide shoreline. Located within our campground was a Butterfly house. A bonus for me. On Easter Sunday I loaded up my camera gear and went to check it out.
A private family has set up a quonset hut, about 100' x 30'. Inside are approximately 800 butterflies, and tropical plants. They've got a few water features, ponds and a small creek, a couple of parakeets and a toatora - the native lizard. The butterflies dance and hop all over the place. It took about 40 minutes for my gear to adjust to the humidity in the place so I wandered and sat on one of the many benches to just watch and learn where the butterflies liked to go.
I haven't identified any of them, as we choose not to bring our reference guides - they are just too bulky to lug around the world. And since I took almost 600 images of them, it will take me a while to sort through them all!
