Moab Utah - Little Wild Horse Canyon - Day 4

We like to pick up info from other travelers about what to see, special places, and not to miss attractions. This location is just one of those tips. We kept running into one traveler in Arches, and Canyonlands and on the third day we saw him, he had gotten a tip from a ranger and shared it with us, but he could only remember part of the name. We looked it up, researched it and decided that it was a go.
When we traveled to the Grand Canyon a year ago February, we made a trip to Antelope Canyon, also a slot canyon, just outside Page, Arizona. You must hire a guide to take you into the slot, and there's not much dallying around for shots and angles. You are all on your own in this one!
We arrived at the trailhead at 7am, after a 2 hour drive from Moab. The hike starts out in a wash for about an half mile, then there's a bit of scrambling over some large sandstone boulders, then you get into the fun part. The slot. Suck it up "Buttercup", let's go!
We had the place to ourselves for most of the morning. There was an occasional hiker or two, but we were able to take as much time as we wanted and shoot from as many different angles and with lenses as much as we wanted. We couldn't stop giggling as we entered some of the slots.
At times it felt like we were in the intestine of some ancient beast.
We each had a small backpack on for water and gear. There were a couple of spots where those had to be passed through first to be able to get through. Passing people through these spots was not possible.
And as you can see in the next shot, it was just wide enough at the bottom for my shoe to fit - edge to edge!
