Fall arrived in Twizel

We choose a camp site along side a lake, which I cannot spell or pronounce, but it's in Twizel which is pronounced Twhy-zel! Lefty was out with me and found a curious, but not really interested friend!
It was warm and sunny and no wind when we arrived. The leaves are just starting to turn colors. In the middle of the night the rain started, and came down very heavily. When we pulled out of our spot at 10am, we had 3 inches of rain all around the camper van! It continued to rain heavily for a couple of hours as we continued on down the road towards Queenstown and Frankton. We stopped for some lunch and to find some better rain gear! Tom's gave out, and mine was severely inadequate! With our mission accomplished we continued on the road to Te Anu and friends Peter, Bev and their son Haydn.
