Darwin Australia - via Cairns and Alice Springs

Our day of rest in Cairns did us all good as we faced a two part flight to Darwin.  Qantas had removed our flight and changed us to a Boeing 717 to Alice Springs and then on to Darwin.  I had done some checking and got us window seats, as this plane has 5 seat across in 2 and 3.  The flights were  very empty, so I moved and we all had window seats.

It had been very overcast on the first flight out of Alice Springs so this clear weather flight gave us all a chance to see the terrain.  It truly does look like the ocean floor from 32,000 feet in the air!
